David M. Cote

Executive Chairman, Vertiv Holdings Co

David M. Cote is executive chairman of Vertiv Holdings Co, a global data center products and services provider, and author of Winning Now, Winning Later. From 2002 to 2017, he was the CEO of Honeywell, a $40 billion technology and manufacturing corporation. He also served as its chairman through April 2018. Cote previously served as a Class B director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, known as the Simpson-Bowles Commission. He was also appointed by Obama as co-chair of the U.S.-India CEO Forum. Cote was a founding member of the steering committee of the Campaign to Fix Debt and served as a vice chair of the Business Roundtable. Cote has received numerous accolades, including the Horatio Alger Award and CEO of the Year from Chief Executive magazine. He has also been named a World’s Best CEO by Barron’s for five consecutive years. Cote earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.
