Kimberly McClure is a career foreign service officer at the U.S. Department of State whose work has focused on South Asia. Her overseas assignments have included India and Afghanistan, and she worked nearly two years as Special Assistant to U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Richard Holbrooke, in Washington, DC.
As an International Affairs Fellow, Ms. McClure is working with Global Kids, Inc. to expand programming to DC and develop a summer institute for under-represented DC youth that will introduce them to international careers and take them overseas for the first time. The program aims to broaden their exposure to international issues and diversify the pool of young leaders equipped to pursue international careers.
